The incident occurred in the Centro of Tijuana
Around 4:00 PM on Wednesday, October 16, an armed assault was reported against a man at Callejón Ocampo, at the corner of Avenida Negrete in the Centro Zone.
Paramedics from the Red Cross arrived at the scene to provide first aid to the victim; however, he was found to have no vital signs due to the severity of his gunshot wounds to the head.
The suspected assailants fled the scene on foot toward Avenida Negrete and remain at large.

The area was secured by municipal police and national guard members while forensic services and prosecutors conducted the necessary investigations.
