Several users reported malfunctions in the functioning of the social media platform

Elon Musk has been the subject of controversies since assuming the position of Twitter CEO. He generated backlash by announcing an unpopular measure this Saturday.

Starting from July 1st, Twitter users will have limitations on content viewing. Verified accounts will be able to read up to 6,000 tweets per day, unverified accounts will have a limit of 600 messages per day, and new unverified accounts will only be able to view 300 tweets.

Elon Musk justified this measure as a response to data extraction and manipulation within the system.

Users experienced unpleasant surprises when they found out they could no longer see new messages on Twitter and received error messages.

Due to user dissatisfaction, Musk announced an upcoming update that will allow a higher number of posts, although it has not been specified when it will take effect.

It is unknown whether the tweet limit applies to specific selections or all messages on the interface, but user complaints suggest the former. This measure was implemented after it was reported that Twitter had restricted content for users without an account.

The goal of this measure, described by Musk as a "temporary emergency measure," is to increase the number of registrations on the platform and reduce the influence of aggressive users that impact the user experience.

Tim Sweeney, CEO of Epic Games, pointed out that several organizations were aggressively extracting data from Twitter, which affected the user experience.

Several users reported malfunctions in Twitter's functioning this Saturday, confirmed by Downdetector.
