Big Bear, California, welcomed the start of winter with the season's first snowfall, transforming the area into a winter paradise and attracting visitors eager to enjoy the snow.

The recent snowfall marked the beginning of the season's activities at the popular Snow Summit resort, which opened its doors this Friday. Skiers and snowboarders took advantage of the conditions to hit the slopes, which were complemented by artificial snow produced by the resort.

According to the National Weather Service, more snow is expected in the coming days due to a storm that could bring snow levels down to 8,000 feet, further covering the area. Other resorts in the region, such as Bear Mountain and Snow Valley, are preparing to open soon, while Mountain High in Wrightwood is scheduled to open this Saturday.
