Mattel pide disculpas por el error

Mattel, the famous toy company, has apologized for an error on the packaging of its dolls inspired by the movie Wicked. Instead of directing users to the film's official site, the printed link on the packaging led to an adult content website. The error went viral on social media as users shared images of the boxes showing the incorrect link.

The company acknowledged the mistake in a statement, expressing regret for the "unfortunate error" and assuring that it is taking "immediate steps" to address the issue. However, Mattel did not specify whether the product would be pulled from stores, although some of the dolls were no longer available on sites like Amazon and Target as of Monday.

As a precaution, Mattel has recommended that consumers who have already purchased the dolls discard the packaging or cover the link, as well as contact customer service for further details.

The dolls, representing Glinda and Elphaba, central characters in the Wicked adaptation, are part of a promotional collaboration between Mattel and Universal Pictures, whose theatrical release is set for November 22.
