The 2025 Major League Soccer (MLS) season will feature the debut of the San Diego FC franchise, whose standout player is Mexican star Hirving Lozano. This week, the official date for the debut of the team, known as the "Evil Doll," was announced. They will kick off during the ‘MLS is Back’ weekend, set for February 22-23, when they will visit the Los Angeles Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park.

San Diego FC, coached by Mikey Varas, will play their first home game at Snapdragon Stadium on March 1 against St. Louis SC. The team will be the 30th franchise in MLS and will also mark the end of Hirving Rodrigo Lozano Bahena’s career in Europe, where he currently plays for PSV Eindhoven. During his time in Europe, "Chuky" has won championships in both the Netherlands and Italy.
