Referring to candidate Donald Trump

Mexican artists, including Alejandro Fernández, Paquita la del Barrio, and the band Maná, have issued a call to vote against racism and the "hate campaign" of former president and current Republican candidate Donald Trump.

The performers joined the social media campaign #YaEstuvo ahead of the November 5th presidential elections between Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris.

In a statement, the artists voiced their support for the Latino community, emphasizing the need to counteract hateful messages against immigrants. The initiative is also backed by Los Tigres del Norte, Edén Muñoz, Ximena Sariñana, and Spanish singer Natalia Jiménez.

The message is accompanied by a video featuring clips of Trump’s racist remarks about Mexican immigrants and attacks on Latinos in the U.S., including the case of Mahud Villalaz, a Peruvian man attacked with acid in Milwaukee. At the end, the artists urge the public to vote and choose a "better path" grounded in respect and human dignity.
