The man, identified as Alexis, a Tijuana native, was taken to a hospital

A 27-year-old man was the victim of an armed attack carried out by two individuals who, according to his testimony, had asked him for help to "jump-start" a vehicle.

The incident took place in the Lomas Tijuana neighborhood, at the intersection of Quetzalcóatl and Nezahualcóyotl streets.

During a patrol in the downtown area, Municipal Police officers intercepted a Nissan pickup truck in which the injured man was traveling as a passenger. The police intervention occurred between Quintana Roo and Décima streets at 9:20 p.m. on Thursday.

The man, identified as Alexis, a Tijuana native, was taken to a hospital after being shot in the back and buttock. According to Alexis, the attackers requested help to "jump-start" their vehicle and, without warning, opened fire. The assailants were traveling in a dark green Honda sedan, and no shell casings were found at the scene.
