The Los Angeles offense made its presence felt this Wednesday at Petco Park.

There will be a Game 5 between the San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Dodgers!

 

On Wednesday, the Padres were shut out 8-0 by the Dodgers at Petco Park, tying the National League Division Series at two wins each. A decisive fifth game will now determine which team advances to the National League Championship Series.

 

In Wednesday’s game, the Dodgers opened the scoring in the first inning with a solo home run by Mookie Betts.

With two outs on the board, Shohei Ohtani hit a single that brought Gavin Lux home, making the score 2-0 in favor of Los Angeles. Mookie Betts then hit a line drive, allowing Enrique Hernández to score, extending the Dodgers’ lead to 3-0.

 

In the bottom of the third inning, Will Smith hit a home run, bringing Max Muncy across the plate and putting the Dodgers up 5-0.

In the seventh inning, the Dodgers added three more runs. The first came from a sacrifice fly by Tommy Edman, scoring Max Muncy. Then, Gavin Lux hit a two-run homer, driving in Will Smith and bringing the score to 8-0. The fifth and final game will take place this Friday at Dodger Stadium, starting at 5:08 p.m.
