An employee is attacked by 50 people who attempted to rob

A 7-Eleven store employee in Anaheim was attacked by a group of approximately 50 people attempting to rob the establishment. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday at the store located at 550 South Knott Ave., near Orange Avenue.

A video of the incident shows two masked suspects trying to force the door open. One of the suspects, wearing a gray hoodie and holding what appeared to be a large rock, threatened the employee to back away from the entrance, allowing the group to storm into the store.

Police officers were initially responding to a call about a street takeover at the intersection of Knott and Orange Avenue when they were informed of the robbery. The suspects fled the scene when the officers arrived.

Footage shows several members of the group, mostly men, ransacking the store, climbing over counters, pushing shelves, and throwing merchandise. The video also shows the crowd leaving the store with stolen items. Some of the assailants filmed the robbery and mocked the employee, whose face was bloodied. The employee sustained minor injuries, including a bleeding nose.

An undetermined amount of cash was stolen from the registers, along with merchandise. Police stated that the video, which was shared on Instagram, is now part of the investigation.

This robbery is part of a series of flash-mob style assaults targeting 7-Eleven stores across Southern California.
