Who is the famous billionaire owner of the Super Yacht?

An exclusive superyacht was seen entering San Diego Bay on Thursday morning, sparking curiosity about its owner. A live stream from San Diego Web Cam captured the moment around 9 a.m., showing a 387-foot vessel heading into "America’s Finest City."

According to Marine Traffic, a global maritime tracking website, the yacht's name is LAUNCHPAD, and it is registered as a "recreational vessel."

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that this superyacht was originally commissioned by Russian oligarch Vladimir Potanin, who appeared on several sanction lists. The yacht eventually left the Dutch shipyard where it was being held after the sale to its new owner, an American, was approved. According to Yacht World, the LAUNCHPAD was sold for around $300 million and boasts luxurious amenities, including a tennis court, a helipad, a private cinema, a gym, and a jacuzzi on deck. The yacht can accommodate up to 24 guests.

But who is enjoying this luxury superyacht off the coast of San Diego? Here's a hint: it’s the mastermind behind what many know as the "Metaverse."

The LAUNCHPAD is owned by none other than Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg, California’s richest man and the fourth-richest person in the world, according to Forbes' billionaire list.

The reason for Zuckerberg's stop in San Diego remains a mystery, but you might want to keep an eye out if you hope to catch a glimpse of him in person.
