Evacuations have extended to areas such as Big Bear, California

The Line Fire, burning in San Bernardino County, has led to the evacuation of thousands of residents as it continues to consume over 37,000 acres as of Friday. The blaze has so far scorched 27,743 acres and is 21% contained, according to Cal Fire reports.

As of Friday morning, 11,400 residents are under evacuation orders and an additional 54,700 are under evacuation warnings.

The fire also continues to threaten 65,100 structures in the area. The cause of the Line Fire has been determined to be arson. San Bernardino County prosecutors charged Justin Wayne Halstenberg with arson on Thursday, along with other fire-related crimes, according to media sources.

Evacuations due to the Line Fire have now extended to the city of Big Bear Lake, which has suspended several of its activities due to smoke contamination. Local schools have canceled classes to protect student health, and authorities have urged residents and visitors to avoid affected areas. This measure is part of ongoing efforts to manage the fire's impact and ensure community safety.
