Belinda is under public scrutiny following revelations in the second episode of the podcast “Narcosistema,” where journalist Anabel Hernández claimed that the singer allegedly had a relationship with Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar, the son of Joaquín ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán. Hernández reported that this information was supposedly provided by Dámaso López Serrano, aka ‘El Mini Lic,’ a former operator of the Sinaloa Cartel, who suggested that Iván Archivaldo boasted about his friendship with the artist.

Hernández explained that during an interview, ‘El Mini Lic’ mentioned that Iván often talked about Belinda, although he himself was not a direct witness to their meetings. The journalist also cited an anonymous cartel source who alleged that in 2022, there was a “meeting” between Iván and Belinda in Sinaloa, including a romantic dinner and an expensive gift—a watch worth over $200,000. However, no evidence was presented to corroborate these claims.

Since 2011, there have been rumors about a possible relationship between Belinda and the drug lord’s son, but it has never been officially confirmed. Belinda, known for her pop music career and more recently her involvement in "corridos coquette," has not made any public statements regarding these recent allegations.

This is not the first time Belinda has been linked to drug trafficking in the media; in 2019, following El Chapo's trial, Andrea Vélez mentioned that the drug trafficker had a "platonic love" for Belinda. The relationship between the singer and the cartel continues to be a topic of speculation and controversy, with no definitive evidence confirming its veracity.
