The man was reportedly shot

A 71-year-old taxi driver was the victim of a violent robbery on Thursday night in Colonia Obrera, Third Section. According to initial reports, the driver was approached by two women, approximately 35 years old, who requested his services from Colonia El Soler.

Upon arriving at the designated destination in Colonia Obrera, the taxi driver was ambushed by a man who was already waiting for them. The individual attempted to rob the driver of his belongings, and when unsuccessful, shot him, injuring him in the arm.

Despite the injury, the taxi driver managed to return to the taxi stand in Colonia El Soler, located on Alegría Street, in front of Calimax, where he sought help from his fellow drivers.

The incident occurred around 10:00 p.m., and so far, no arrests have been reported in connection with the robbery. Paramedics arrived at the scene to assist the driver, who chose not to be transported to a hospital for medical care.
