Over 100 Migrants in Uncertainty

At the edge of San Diego Harbor in Barrio Logan, more than 100 immigrants have set up camps at César Chávez Park for months. Dozens of young children play on the playground just outside their tents.

This week, the San Diego Police, responding to a complaint, have issued a warning that the encampments will be dismantled, and the migrants waiting for their asylum cases will need to find a new place to live.

On Wednesday night, approximately half of the immigrants packed up their belongings and left the waterfront park. Their future destination remains uncertain. Claims a media outlet.

The county received millions of dollars from FEMA to assist with organizing the migrants in limbo, but the county's plan for moving forward remains unclear.
