The FGE announced progress in the investigation

Since the morning of Saturday, April 27th, Australian brothers Jake and Callum Robinson, along with US citizen Jack Carter Rhoad, have been reported missing after embarking on an excursion to Punta San José, near the municipality of Ensenada, Baja California.

According to information provided by their relatives, the young men, approximately 30 years old, were traveling in a Chevy Colorado Z71 truck and were scheduled to arrive in Ensenada on Sunday, April 28th. They planned to stay at an Airbnb they had rented for a vacation and surfing trip.

During Thursday afternoon, the State Attorney General's Office, represented by María Elena Andrade Ramírez, held a press conference to update on the progress of the investigation. It was confirmed that there are currently three individuals under investigation with the aim of locating the missing foreign youths.

"There are three individuals related to the investigation; we cannot disclose their legal status due to their direct and indirect involvement in the case. We have made significant progress in a short time since the report was filed," stated Andrade Ramírez.

The State Attorney General noted that the formal complaint was filed days after the disappearances, resulting in the loss of crucial hours. However, authorities were already monitoring the case due to its traction on social media.

So far, evidence including a white pick-up truck, a cellphone, camping tents, and other clues have been found. Andrade Ramírez mentioned that the investigation is ongoing until the whereabouts of the foreigners are determined.

Throughout this investigation, the State Attorney General's Office is closely collaborating with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the United States Consulate, and the Australian Consulate.
