The events took place in the desert area

Six individuals were discovered deceased on Tuesday night near a truck and an SUV on a dirt road in the San Bernardino County desert.

The incident occurred around 8 p.m. in an area close to Highway 395 in El Mirage, approximately 35 miles east of Lancaster.

The alert was raised when officers responded to a welfare check call in the area. Upon arrival, they found the bodies on or near a dirt road, which was immediately cordoned off with yellow crime scene tape. Initially, authorities reported five bodies at the scene, but a sixth body was located on Wednesday morning.

As of now, the authorities have not disclosed the identities of the deceased, keeping the information confidential. The crime scene remained active and closed on Wednesday morning, hours after its discovery.

Two vehicles were found at the scene: a silver truck and a dark blue SUV, both with broken windows. In a press conference held on Wednesday, authorities confirmed that the investigation is exclusively focused on the El Mirage scene, and no other locations related to the incident have been identified.
