The Ukrainian army described the attacks as "massive" and unprecedented

At least 28 people lost their lives, and numerous others were injured in a series of Russian attacks in various parts of Ukraine, as reported by local authorities this Friday.

The Ukrainian army described the attacks as "massive" and unprecedented, involving the use of 158 drones and missiles, leaving the air force stunned by the simultaneity of the targeted locations.

Among the affected targets was a warehouse in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, which was one of several buildings destroyed by the intense missile and drone attacks. The local population was urged by the police forces to seek shelter, as vehicles were damaged, fires broke out, and debris fell from the sky.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky denounced that Russia employed "almost every type of weapon in its arsenal," specifically pointing out attacks against residences and a maternity hospital. Cities across the country, including the capital Kiev, Lviv in the west, Odesa and Zaporizhzhia in the south, and Dnipro and Kharkiv in the east, bore the brunt of the attacks.

These events occurred after Ukraine attacked a Russian warship in the occupied port of Feodosia in Crimea earlier in the week, exacerbating tensions between the two nations.
