The 31-year-old player adds to a growing list of stars in the Arab league

Brazilian footballer Neymar took a surprising turn in his career by announcing his departure from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to join the Saudi team Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League. After a stay at PSG since 2017, Neymar has signed a lucrative two-season contract with Al-Hilal, totaling 200 million euros in sporting terms, and exceeding 350 million euros when including advertising concepts. The 31-year-old player adds to a growing list of stars in the Arab league, joining Cristiano Ronaldo, Mahrez, Benzema, and others.

Al-Hilal officially confirmed the acquisition of Neymar, marking a new chapter in the footballer's career. With a two-year contract and an option for a third, Neymar joins newly arrived teammates like Kalidou Koulibaly, Rúben Neves, and Sergej Milinković-Savić. Financial details of the transfer have not been disclosed by the club, but reports indicate a deal around 90 million euros for PSG, while Neymar would receive around 100 million euros per season.

Neymar's departure from PSG marks the end of six years in which the player faced challenges both on and off the field. Despite not achieving the coveted Champions League victory, Neymar leaves a legacy at the French club, scoring 119 goals in 173 matches and contributing to five Ligue 1 titles and 13 domestic honors.
