Swifties Unleash "Swift Quake" at Taylor Swift's Concert in Seattle

Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour" has caused excitement among her fans, who spared no effort to attend the concerts where the famous singer promoted her latest album. Recently, a surprising fact emerged about the show in Seattle, where 'swifties' generated seismic activity with their enthusiasm and excitement during the singer-songwriter's performance, as confirmed by a seismologist.

During two nights at Lumen Field, Swift delighted her followers with a setlist of her greatest hits and new songs, adding a couple of musical surprises that ignited the audience's emotions, resulting in a seismic activity of magnitude 2.3 recorded in the control system.

The phenomenon was dubbed "Swift Quake" and compared to a similar event in 2011 when fans of the American football team Seahawks caused seismic activity with their enthusiasm over Marshawn "Beast Mode" Lynch's impressive touchdown. The recent "Swift Quake" surpassed the seismic impact of the Seahawks by 0.3, and experts attribute this to the prolonged duration of the concert, keeping the excitement elevated.

Seismologist Jackie Caplan-Auerbach analyzed around 10 hours of the concert to study the behavior of the environment, from audio facilities to music and audience participation. She found the combination of science and art fascinating, emphasizing that science is not limited to laboratory settings and can be observed in everyday experiences. Taylor Swift expressed her gratitude to all the 'swifties' for making the event a memorable one, especially now that the impact they made on the Earth has been revealed.
