The Tijuana native is recovering from an injury

After his defeat against the Brazilian Alexandre Pantoja and, in addition, losing the flyweight title in the co-main fight of UFC 290, Brandon Moreno from Tijuana spoke to Baja News about what happened on the night of July 8 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"I'm going to be ready for whatever comes; I'm crossing my fingers to return in December," he revealed this Saturday in an interview at the Cerro Colorado Stadium.

Brandon Moreno is in Tijuana, because he is going to participate in the XXXI edition of Triplemania.

"Until now, when I weigh a little, I left my soul and physique in the fight and, unfortunate, God, life and destiny told me it was not my turn," Brandon Moreno commented on his most recent fight.

"I think that the people, and that helps me to take things a little, because all the people tell me: you shot yourself, that helps me, the people saw how I gave up my soul to win, things were not given to me by the judges," he added.

During the fight, he suffered an injury to his left hand, but does not need surgery.

"I spoke to the doctor on Tuesday and he told me that I am not going to have an operation, that is good, because it will be less months of recovery," he explained.
