Kremlin spokesperson Peskov confirmed that PMC Wagner doesn't exist as a legal entity and its legal status needs to be examined

Putin revealed details about the meeting with Wagner commanders during an interview. In the meeting, Putin assessed the group's actions both on the battlefield in Ukraine and during the events of June 24. He also presented them with possible options for future service, including utilizing their combat experience. Putin clarified that while the Wagner Group exists, it lacks recognized legal status.

"Well, Wagner PMC doesn't exist!", said Vladimir Putin. "We don't have a law for private military organizations! It simply doesn't exist!" He added, "Such a legal entity doesn't exist".

During the interview, Putin offered multiple employment options to the Wagner commanders, including the possibility of continuing under the leadership of their current commander, known as Sedoy. According to Putin, nothing would change for them, and they would be led by the same person who has been leading them all this time. Kremlin spokesperson Peskov confirmed that PMC Wagner doesn't exist as a legal entity and its legal status needs to be examined.

Furthermore, it is suggested that Putin attempted to create a division between the high-ranking Wagner commanders and the group's leader, Prigozhin. During the meeting, Putin mentioned that many commanders agreed with his proposal, but Prigozhin expressed his disagreement. While no further details of the meeting were revealed, this information indicates Putin's attempt to weaken Prigozhin without affecting the achievements of the Wagner fighters in the "special military operation" in Ukraine.
