Hours after the fight between Brandon Moreno and Alexandre Pantoja, something was revealed that marked the semifinal fight of UFC 290, and that is that Moreno fought injured for a significant part of the bout.

The Tijuana-born fighter fractured his right hand in the first round of the fight against Alexandre Pantoja, which ended with a victory for the latter via unanimous decision.

This was revealed by Dana White, the president of UFC. Following the defeat, 'The Assassin Baby' was taken to the hospital to treat his injury.

"Brandon Moreno versus Alexandre Pantoja was a very competitive fight. They will face each other again," commented the UFC president.

The rematch would give Moreno the opportunity to showcase his ability, something he couldn't do last night due to the injury.
