Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that Russia's land, air, and naval nuclear forces contribute to the global balance of power, ensuring strategic deterrence and maintaining a global equilibrium. During a meeting with military graduates, Putin praised the collaborative work of companies, designers, workers, engineers, and military and civilian specialists in the creation of the Russian nuclear triad.

The president announced that the new Sarmat ballistic missiles will soon enter combat service, following a successful launch from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in April. Putin also highlighted the importance of the ongoing development of armored vehicles, attack combat systems, and state-of-the-art anti-aircraft defense systems for effective military operations.

Putin underscored that the strengthening and development of the Russian Army, as well as the country's lasting security, have been and continue to be top priorities. Additionally, the president mentioned that the heirs of the generation of World War II heroes demonstrate their loyalty to the homeland by fighting for truth and justice in the special operation in Ukraine.

Regarding this operation, Putin stated that soldiers and officers of the Russian Armed Forces are defending the Russian people, the country's territorial integrity, and its right to sovereign development. He also emphasized that they defend the historic decisions made by the residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, as well as Crimea and Sebastopol.

The special military operation, announced by Putin in February, aims to protect the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics and demilitarize and denazify Ukraine in response to the genocide perpetrated by Kiev. The Russian president reaffirmed his commitment to the defense of Russia's sovereignty and security.
