"It hurts me deeply," lamented the mother of the young man killed on the trolley by the San Diego police

The young man who was shot by the San Diego Police Department on Sunday, June 4th at a trolley station suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). However, according to his mother, named Olimpia Neal, he had discontinued his medical treatment days before and had been involved in a family argument.

According to the testimony of the mother of the deceased young man, the incident at the East San Ysidro Boulevard trolley station, the first station coming from Tijuana, was an accident influenced by her son's medical condition.

The San Diego police report states that the officers responded to a scene involving a man who was presumed to be armed. Once at the scene, they attempted to have the man drop the object, but he lunged at the officers. It turned out to be an airsoft gun.

"I told him, 'You know you can't be without medication,' and he told me, 'Mom, many times I only take the medication for you, but the medication also makes me feel bad (sic),'" Olimpia Neal wrote on social media.

Witnesses at the scene reported that when the young man began threatening people at the trolley station, it caused chaos and panic among the crowd, who took refuge in a nearby plaza, while others rushed towards the exit to Tijuana.

Neal also shared, "Three years ago, he started hearing voices in his mind. We true Christians know that this is all spiritual, but we tried different things, different treatments (sic)."

The situation is still under investigation by the authorities, who are evaluating the actions of the officers.
